My series of figure skating oil illustrations aimed to capture the power and speed of the athletes during their jumps and spins in a single, minimalist figure. Each illustration was inspired by a particular skater who not only had the skill and talent to provide me with excellent reference spins and jumps to study, but who's programs also connected with me on a personal level. I hope that they can convey not only the physicality of the movement, but also the emotion of the program.
This study was inspired by the quad queen, Russian skater Alexandra Trusova and her 2020/21 free skate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Custom and personalised orders
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
