Giclée printed reproduction of an original oil painting
Captivating dynamic figure
Painted in glowing indigo blue on a dark background
200gsm archival quality art paper with a matte finish
This striking artwork captures a figure skater mid spin, as the previous moment of the rotation fades into an afterimage in the dark background. Gorgeous jewel toned blues and rich warm skin tones glow off the paper of the print and you can almost feel the light hitting the body in motion, almost hear the sound of her ice skate turning on the ice. This is an excellent piece to display for a figure skating fan with mature taste - the dark background with full focus on the figure gives it a timeless classical feeling, while the motion blur, afterimages and choice of colour keep it firmly contemporary. Stylish and versatile for display this giclée art print can be a stunning highlight for living and work spaces, and the high quality printing on archival paper will ensure that it remains vibrant and beautiful for many years to come. Treat yourself or gift it to a figure skating fan in your life and hear those magic words "I didn't even know you could get something like this!".
This print is an unframed reproduction of an original oil painting inspired by the skating of Cypriot-American figure skater Marilena Kitromilis.

I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
