This print is a reproduction of an original oil painting inspired by the skating of Japanese skater Wakaba Higuchi and her unforgettable 2021/22 free skate to the music of the Lion King. Wakaba brings an incredible energy to the performance and in approaching this painting I knew it needed to convey that. The strong, highly saturated colours draw the eye to the skater and multiple figures are used to show the speed of her rotation in the spin. I hope this piece can bring the joy of watching her skating into your home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Custom and personalised orders
