Cross your fingers and hope to die! Is there a hand gesture that conveys more hope and optimism? It's not easy to be hopeful these days - it's a choice we have to make over and over every day. This sticker can be your daily reminder to keep choosing hope.
Hands are one of the most expressive parts of our bodies. Next to faces they're the aspect of our anatomy that we recognise most easily and that we connect emotions and intentions to most readily. My hand series aimed to capture a specific feeling and gesture in each piece without using colour, light or composition to influence the atmosphere of the artwork. It's all in the hand. This resulted in a series of quite striking, yet simple pieces. They're almost graphic in their simplicity, highlighting the ability of the hand to convey a message on it's own.
This series is great for mixing and matching. Pick the gestures that represents you and display them together or alone - a different gesture for a different room? Flip someone off while they use your bathroom, greet them with peace as they enter the hall, or maybe you're more of a fist first person - these are really great pieces for self expression and creating atmosphere and story in your home. They're silly, they're sincere, they're... hands.
Colours may vary slightly between monitors.

I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
