Giclée printed reproduction of an original oil painting
Figure skating jump in motion
Midnight blue figure, with afterimages fading to dusky slate and highlights of blushing pink
200gsm high quality art paper with a matte finish
Inspired by the skating of US figure skater Amber Glenn this oil illustration captures the fleeting moment of flight in a figure skating triple jump. The primary figure almost bursts off the print at the height of her jump, stark black and midnight blue tones contrasting with the near white background, while the afterimages show the previous rotations. The figure fades from slate to pale blue grey, blending with the light surrounding her, all accented with sparks of energetic cyan. Her face is highlighted with gentle blushing pink tones while she spins through the air, frozen in time.
This is a giclée printed reproduction of an original oil painting, available in sizes ranging from 10x15 cm cards up to 30x40cm wall art to suit any space. Use it to decorate a young figure skaters room to remind them of the greatness they can accomplish with time and hard work, hang it in a skating coaches office as a celebration of the sport they uphold, or add it to a collection of artworks celebrating the incredible abilities of women in sport, dance and art.

I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
