Featuring expressive, high contrast painterly brushstrokes and glowing warm skin tones this is a passionate contemporary print. Part of a series exploring self love, acceptance and healing, this piece focuses on finding and reaching for the light in times of darkness. Though the figure is wrapped in darkness, shafts of warm light spill into frame illuminating their skin. They stretch up towards them, swimming through the darkness. This piece is a reminder that even in times of deep despair and the blackest depression, there is light and though it may seem out of reach it illuminates and warms us when we grasp for it.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Frequently Asked Questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Custom and personalised orders
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
