Giclée printed reproduction of an original oil painting
Expressive and emotional composition
Painterly figure in pale green tones on a matte pink background
Fine art print on 200gsm high quality art paper with a matte finish
Featuring expressive, painterly brushstrokes in shades of green and dusky pink this is a passionate contemporary print. Part of a series exploring self love, acceptance and healing, this piece focuses on embracing the feeling of being perceived. The skin of the figure is a discordant pale green, almost alien against the gentle dust pink. They arch their back, shading their face with an arm and holding themselves protectively, but they look toward the viewer, choosing to uncurl themselves and face the outside. They hold the observers gaze, accepting it even though it is not comfortable. This print is a reminder that though the feeling of being perceived by others can be otherising, if we accept ourselves for who and what we are we can face it without flinching.

I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
