A painting that truly combines the love of oil painting and figure skating, this original artwork was inspired by French skater Adam Siao Him Fa and his breath-taking 2024/2025 exhibition piece. The performance is an emotional ode to Vincent Van Gogh and the complexity of creation which showcased his passion, delicacy and skill. My painting renders Adams figure in gentle, blended tones, while the space around him is painted using thick impasto stokes in deep blues and saturated oranges. This is a very original artwork - I have never painted anything quite like it and it's likely I never will again. While prints of this work are available nothing can quite compare to the textures of an original oil painting.
This painting is sold unframed and unmounted. I would advise mounting and framing the artwork behind glass to protect the painting for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Custom and personalised orders
