Title: "La Vie En Rose"
Aqueous Ink Printing
170 gsm silk poster paper
5mm white border with a small artists mark in the lower left
Unframed reproduction of an oil painting of a figure in a dark pink dress performing a figure skating spin on a blue background

When watching Kaori Sakamoto's final free skate program to the music of Edith Piaf I knew there was only one option for how I would paint it - her most iconic spin position. It was not the first time I have painted this gorgeous position, and I doubt it will be the last. Kaori has been an unparalleled source of inspiration for me throughout her illustrious figure skating career. I have painted her more than any other figure skater and, despite her retirement at the end of the 2025/26 competitive season I expect that to remain the case.

Colours may vary slightly between monitors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!

Custom and personalised orders

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a custom painting - I'll work with you to create something that lines up with your vision including providing you with digital mock up's before I start painting so you can rest assured that I understand what you're looking for. Bear in mind custom oil paintings can take several months to complete depending on size.
