A jump study aiming to capture the speed and power of Amber Glenns triple axel, I chose to keep the background simple and neutral while maintaining a sense of space. The figure is the focal point of the painting, the rich, dark red tones of her dress immediately drawing the viewer in. The speed of movement through the air is illustrated with subtle notes of colour left behind her, and shadows on the ice highlight the height of her jump.
This painting is sold unframed and unmounted. I would advise mounting and framing the artwork behind glass to protect the painting for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
I pack paintings for shipping with several layers of plastic, paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for their safety. Wherever possible I try to recycle the packing materials used to ship my supplies and canvases to me, but I do generally use packing tape, and seal the painting in a single use plastic shipping bag. If you'd prefer that I ship your painting with no single use plastics, or even no plastic at all, send me a message after your order and I'll do what I can to accommodate!
Custom and personalised orders
